We can’t have a very important team and squad player constantly getting injured and breaking down because he’s playing too many games for club and country, and isn’t getting the recovery time to play for City, who ultimately pay his wages.

When we let Stones go and don't renew his contract it would probably be the end of his England career anyway because he wont be moving to a top side with his injury record.
Not having a go at him because there are many modern players who would sacrifice their clubs needs for their own international profiles.

I9 months till his contract expires in 2026.How long has he got left on his current deal? If it is only a couple of season we should keep him but start planning for the future. Pointless moving him at the minute, even with the injury concerns.

Ake and Stones miss too many football games that's just a fact.
You can have one player like that but not 2 when your playing 60 games a season and when they are both on 200k a week.
Who would you swap Ake and Stones for realistically?

It's probably his last season. If so, great signing overall. His performance in the 2023 CL final is one of, if not the, greatest performance by any City player in history.

The problem with Stones is he's a 30 game a season player at a 60 game a season club , Hardwood was never given a chance at city and he seems to be doing ok ?Who would you swap Ake and Stones for realistically?

I have enjoyed watching Johnny and he is a great lad but he has dropped off alarmingly and his fitness is now beyond a joke.
We need some pace in that back line, except Akaji and Walker fading like the winter sun , we have little.
