We allowed Vinceny Kompany to see out his contract. I don't see an issue with John Stones either. Face it we aren't going to cut many of the seniors in one transfer window.

Don’t get me wrong, Stones isn’t anywhere near the top of my list for the chopping block and I’m happy for him to stay and see out his deal (however long that is, I don’t know) but his injury problems are not going to improve and we can’t assume he is a first team starter going forwards.

Still needed cover and we didn't cut loose Vinny Kompany despite not being able to string many games

We wont get any money for john so just like all our oldies for the past decade or more we let them see out their contracts and thank them. Or if they want to go play somewhere else then we let them go. We do it the right way, we treat the players who have given everything for us in a way no other club does and i am damn proud of it

Rolls Royce of a footballer when on the pitch. Unfortunately has the body work of a 1970s skoda.
Difference between him and VK is the influence off the pitch and around the club. Vl had huge influence....John Stones doesn't have that at anywhere near the level.
Would love him to be a consistent part of the team but his record shows that vision very unlikely to happen. If he ain't on the pitch we need someone who is

Except for Grealish who you give yourself permission to bollock constantly.

A massive hypocrite.

Good knows what that has to do with grealish, i dont bollock him constantly either . If you want a row today then look elsewhere

As a club , as our manager and khaldoon and i would imagine our owner as well want to be treating players properly , especially oldies and it works mainly. Ex players talk about the club like they are still blues

That is what i was saying but i think you know that

Be nice if we had a new rule that return posters under diffient
names have to say who they were , esp those who are holding a grudge or two

Back to john

Another predictable post from yourself.

John has influence around the club. Thats why he has been there as long as Pep has. Only KDB has been around longer.

I have no fucking time for that kind of garbage.

Stones is unsellable.

Just keep him as a backup until his contract expires.

That being said, Pep has been fucking him over playing him immediately when he is fit, because then he just gets injured again.

Literally, just play JSP or some youth for a game, and rest Stones. We cant afford Pep rushing every player back from fitness.

I am sorry but we cant be stepping on egg shells around Stones, if hes fit and available then he should be playing. How long do we give him to get up to speed, hes going to get injured anyway. In the past it was muscular so you at least understood what the injury was and what a recovery is, now hes got a mystery problem with his foot that flares up seemingly after 45mins. What use is that to us?

As for all this bollocks about him being a senior player so cant go. Maybe City are going to be a bit more ruthless this summer and not pussy foot around with making people unhappy.

We ignoring the 8 seasons of injury hit football for us?

Stones is definitely sellable, he is someone who's been with us a long time and is playing fewer and fewer games each season, rested or not, plus he's "home grown" so is worth more to a prem club and is on £200k a week, he's someone we deffo can sell

The problem will be finding someone to buy him

How can you say this and then proceed it with he is sellable?

Which club in their right mind would buy such an injury prone player at his age on his wages?

Not a chance.

Clubs will just wait until he's out of contract and he will take one third of the money that he currently gets now.

I think Serie A or MLS would be a good fit for him to play out the remaining years of his career.

Agreed, I cant see anybody paying us a fee for him.

Ngl thought you meant he was "unsellable" that WE shouldn't sell him not that we WONT be able to
