5 | John Stones - 2024/25

I’ve just got to stop getting wound up about what others think of the poor lad. I know he’s the best and it’s not his fault he’s injured. :-)

Most supporters recognise what a superb player Stones is , when fully fit.

This current reported issue, as none of us really know, sounds as though rest is the recognised cure. If that is the case, he simply must be allowed to follow the medical advice.

No doubt he like all the other players, want to be out there helping in this difficult period, but playing on with the problem doesn't seem like it is going to help.

He is still a professional, and your favourite, so rightly you support him, as most of us do too.

Just heard from a reliable source that both Stones and Akanji shouldn’t have been playing but there was no one else.
Yes there was, they are from that supposed world class academy but they can't play because apparently their confidence will be wrecked if they make mistakes and they will never recover nor learn from them, so we'll keep playing injured players and then act surprised when they aggravate their injuries, I have a feeling Ake will play against Everton and I guarantee you he hasn't fully recovered from his injury.

When he's fit, he's arguably the best centre back we've ever had. When he's fit.

We recognise he's been a special player, but we can't keep risking him.
