What a tragedy that such a fantastic footballer has had so many injuries during his career. He has been a great player for us but unfortunately the time is right for him to move on.

Honestly one of my favourite players ever at the club. We played our best football when he was on the pitch, just a shame his injuries held him back from playing as often otherwise I think we’d talk of him being one of the best ever.

That goal line clearance vs the dippers was massive. He’s won the lot with us. Plus he’s got a cagoule zipped all the way to the top.

I think playing for a team without European football with fewer games and one that does not play such a high line might help him alot.
