It also sends out the wrong message to other players.Especially players with little prospect of making the necessary recovery.
Ruthlessness in replacement or change of tactical approach is needed imho.

That all makes sense but Stones can’t be worse than Dias or Akanji at this point. I’d take the gamble on his fitness because Dias and Akanji have been liabilities for months.Pep is trying to get him to find a new club imo. Stones said he wants to stay and Pep’s response seems to be “ok, fine. But this is what it will be like for you”. Since he’s not non-homegrown, there is no desperate requirement to sell him, but Pep knows John won’t be happy if he stays and is trying to get him to take the hint. Honestly think Pep doesn’t want to lead him on by making him feel more involved.

Yes he’s injury prone, but I think he’s our best centre back. He makes such a difference to our side, arguably we haven’t looked as good since he’s been outHow many gambles on his fitness can we keep making ?
If he was able to keep fit this argument would disappear in a flash. Not his fault but he is injury prone.
I'm saying that knowing his injury record. I don't really care about it anymore because he's probably going to leave for free next season or go on loan with us covering most of his wages. Might as well just play him and rotate instead of running him into the ground as usual. We just can't keep going on with Dias or Akanji next to Gvardiol. How many gambles on his fitness can we keep making ?

He’ll be back. Never fear John Boy is ready to go when the new season starts.
HE’LL BE BACK AND AS GOOD AS EVER!

Plus he's just at the ripe age of 32, everyone knows you come back from an injury faster and stronger when you are in your thirties. He’ll be back. Never fear John Boy is ready to go when the new season starts.

I know you are humouring an old biddy but I can take it. :-) :-)Plus he's just at the ripe age of 32, everyone knows you come back from an injury faster and stronger when you are in your thirties.
Hope so but if he does go it is going to hurt like SWP, YaYa David Silva Vinny. Sergio Zaba KDB and finally one of my favourite players Gareth Barry. He’ll be back. Never fear John Boy is ready to go when the new season starts.

Do not make me cry.... I agree with all of those apart from YaYa (just slightly for him but he wasn't my favourite) I cried when the others went and I cried when Dunnie Monster went.Hope so but if he does go it is going to hurt like SWP, YaYa David Silva Vinny.
