Yeah, sorry about that jim. We really shouldn't be bickering on such a sacred day :-)

Watched it with quite a huge crowd of blues in city square, one of the best days of my life god knows what it would have like being at old Trafford and seeing the looks on the faces of the rags as their team got slapped around.

Knew we would win when I saw the line ups but didn't ever imagine by how much. When it Fletcher scored I got a bit panicky those ****s have emotionally scarred me with the come backs they have done to us in derbys. Not on this occasion though, I went to the bar to get a few more beers. Trying to carry 4 pints of beer whilst goal after goal kept going in towards the end was an impossible task I ended up wearing more beer than drinking it.

That season emotionally damaged them, they've never come close to giving us a hammering like that since. Here's to going back to Old Trafford mid week and giving them another fucking over.

Cemented his cult hero status that day

On a sidenote, have messages on shirts & shinpads etc been banned? don't see it anymore.
Not sure if they're technically banned or not, but you get a yellow card if you lift your shirt over your head like Mario there. Mario got booked for that, didn't he? So they may as well be banned, I suppose.

The one game I take with me everywhere on my mobile.

Unsurpassable.

And yes; I know we have a separate history forum on here. However, that day marked such a seismic shift of power that it deserves remembering in the main forum.

'Tis like the assassination of President Kennedy - yer know where yer were at FT. I was a passenger on the M6 heading north and I wouldn't let Mrs Ewing put the radio on in case it jinxed us. At 3-30 my ERO phoned to ask if I knew the score. No, I knew that we had scored first and I anticipated that the Ginger Pig had nicked the winner in Fergie time. Yer don't know the score? No! He says UNITED 1 . . . . . . . Oh, we got a draw then, I sez! I always had great faith in our team!

Nice of the Rags to celebrate the anniversary by doing their best to not let their fans forget by trying to reenact.
