27 years ago today, we said goodbye to Joe. A true gentleman, whose name is intrinsically linked with our club. If there was such a thing as reincarnation, I'd love to know his thoughts on today's team and also the club as it is now.

I know it sounds daft, but I still miss Joe Mercer. Apart from being a great manager, he was a decent pundit on TV, certainly compared to the shower of shit we have now.
In modern football the knives would have been out early in the title season, as we had a pretty bad start.
