I suspect we wont even sell out.

This, Everton have a far better away following than us in europe/

hope so. I've only got a few hundred but I have lived overseas for the last 12 years. I'm hoping there will be some left for us disloyal fans as it's only a couple of hours drive for me to get there.

1400 allocation for the City end, more than enough, cant see it selling out

Re: 5000 points for Salburg away

They'll come down, but does anyone know why the Salzburg ticket sales for thurs. & Fri. have suddenly been taken off the MCFC site???

Re: 5000 points for Salburg away

Brother in law has the points so that's one sorted, I will be ok when they drop criteria at the weekend. I can't see us selling 1400 for this it's hardly a cheap gig

Don't worry mate. It sounds high, but the whole point of loyalty system is to offer 'most loyal' (and I use that phrase with extreme caution and sweepingly, I won't go into the merits of why someone hasn't accumulated loyalty points, but just basing it on the loyalty points sytem of rating 'loyalty') fans first dibs on tickets.

For derby games and stuff, they usually start at about 6,000 tickets, and usually come down to just over the 4,000 points mark before they sell out, that's for a derby.

The tickets start selling at 5,000 points, the day after 4,000, then down and down.

Having heard and seen other clubs ticket systems, I think we have the best. When it was introduced in the final season at Maine Road, it seemed to be a slow reaction to the Wembley '99 ticket allocation system. But now, it's really coming into its own now. It is definately the fairest way of distributing tickets.

Exactly, scall. And that's the way it should be! Continued loyalty. The only quibble I have is that the weighting is sometimes overtaken by supply/demand/marketing. Timiwhatnot at home got yer 50, Salzburg away gets yer 20.

That is a bit 'unfair' really, but then I realised. The people who go to the Euro aways, are, on the whole, the same people who will go to Timisoara away, tough away games etc. Yes, there'll be the exception here and there, but I'm talking generally. They'll be found at almost all away games, and therefore, will be the ones with a high points tally. therefore they won't be as dependant on the 50 loyalty points for a home game, 20 away etc. For them, these figures are irrelevant as they already have enough points to guarantee them tickets for any game.

Re: 5000 points for Salburg away

Scall,
You're right about the 'on the whole' bit.
I'm a london based Blue, a veteran of Groclin, Lokeren etc but reliant upon getting tickets from others, hence I have virtually no points.
However, I dont begrudge the system nor the people who go to every game, spending untold thousands every year with a commitment level I simply cannot compete with.
The system is the fairest one available. People like me just have to play it the best we can.

Re: 5000 points for Salburg away

how many tickets we got for salzburg ? if we have 1500 we would sell out around 4200 points ?
