I know Pep is stubborn as a mule, and sometimes loyal to the senior players to a fault, but we need some fresh legs in the middle of the park. Particularly when we lose the ball, neither Bernie or Gundo (or Kev assuming he plays against Brighton) have the legs to track back.

So I’m hoping against hope that he bites the bullet and plays either Jacob or Nico against Brighton. They certainly will give us youthful tenacity in midfield.

I agree, but can’t see it happening. When it comes to young players it’s almost impossible in the league
