Wasn't the problem at all today but I can't see him playing left back as he cannot play a forward pass. He gets the ball out of his feet with some much purpose, looks up then pulls it back and passes sideways. It's a bit frustrating.

Assuming everyone is fit(I accept that is a wild assumption) I can see him playing left-back against every top team, particularly away from home

We simply cannot persist with Mendy high and wide giving it away and not getting back, particularly when we are asking Rodders to make up the room

Felt sorry for him today. The whole defence just capitulated around him.

Good goal, he picked up a few at Bournemouth. Hopefully him and Dias chip in with a few. We might need them!

When the defence has been continously capitulating for over a season now, perhaps there's wider issues that aren't just down to the players he puts out on the field?

Oh there definitely is wider issues but regular brain farts by individuals are shooting us in the foot every single year.

Looked solid at LB. We instantly looked better and seized the initiative when he came on. I like what I've seen so far. His versatility and calmness could be very important to us in the years ahead.
