Needs to sharpen his passing though, few balls were short tonight and he’s quite slow to make basic passes. Should come with games as we’ll need him to be better in those areas from left back where there’s more emphasis on it.

Left back is a massive call for Pep on Sunday. If Ake plays I think we can bench Gundogan and pair Rodri with Bernardo Silva. If Cancelo is selected we will need 2 out and out defensive midfielders. Ake oozes class for me and I hope he gets the nod for all our heavyweight matches.

really pleased with this signing,i was quite sure when we signed him we were getting a very decent player, but if we had only paid 40m more we could of got harry the slab head maguire

If the game was at Klanfield i would slot Ake in the team at left back , but the onus is on a victory , Cancello although right footed will cause TTD to do some defending , and we all know any decent winger rips him to pieces , unless there is an advertising hoarding handy.
