Very good tonight. None of that running out of position for no reason like last week (but I’ll out that down to not playing left back for a long time for us).

When we signed Ake for £45m to say the least i was underwhelmed , his first season was stop start and had injuries but i never really rated him , but what do i know ? He has been our best defender this season and with class players like Dias , Stones and Laporte that is really saying something.
He has become Mr.Reliable and has changed my opinion who i thought was an average centre back to a truly brilliant defender ,he isnt the quickest but his reading of the game and anticipation is second to none.

Never let's the shit team performance impact his own personal performance. Solid and reliable once more and the only bit of speed in the entire defence without walker, can't ask for any more from him. Whether it's left back or centre back, he makes the team when he's fit.

He is good player. There were times when he was free on left and could have crossed it but he played safe. For amount if ball he sees maybe he can try making a cross or something, it would be helpful.

That’s what you tend to get though from a centre back playing fullback

He hasn't improved, he was this level for Bournemouth.....he was just injured and not properly fit, so played stop/start for a long while when he signed ;)

I like him but I don't think the current system work well. Ake is fantastic in defense but offers not enough attacking as a full back. I would rather to play him as a CB.

He's a great centre half but not so great as an over lapping full back.

Excellent.
I'll be honest and say I had my doubts about him in the past, but right now, he's 100% my first choice CB to play next to Stonesy.
