It’s lovely to see he looks right at home here. Great to see how he has gradually come of age as a City player.

Performances like these are why I will keep arguing about people that say he isn't a leftback.

These up and down attacking and defending perfect fullbacks don't exist anymore.

I'd much rather a left back who is a perfect defender and adequate build up play player, than the reverse, and I think as we have seen with Pep teams, others tend to follow his lead, the attacking fullback is a dead idea.
Arsenal is showing it too.

He's role isn't a left back or centre back it's a mix of both. Sometimes he'll be in the back three and sometimes he'll be wider in an actual LB position and sometimes he'll be high up on the LW combining with grealish and providing overlaps and there's no one better than him to do it.
