When Pep started getting him in the team I honestly(bad judgement) thought he will never be even a decent player.
He proved me and many others that got the same opinion wrong and then some!

Great player. Fast, good at positioning and knows how to pass the ball well enough between the lines.

Ake has joined up with the national team now

He looks a bit tired. Nice touch by the NLD squad too. Ake has had a great season and one of our players of the season, considering he slotted into the left back role without any problem. So pleased all this media nonsense about Chelsea at the start of the season didn’t unsettle him. Just shows you what a good professional he is.

Put him up front and let him do what he wants for a game...

if we had sold him to chelsea we probably dont win the treble. those are the breaks of the game. Kudos to him for not forcing a move and for uping his game. what a season

He has been arguably the best player on the pitch, incredible. The guy got no rest, and he was already in Rotterdam at 10 am (9 am UK time) on Tuesday morning.

Easily the best player for the Netherlands in their defeat to Croatia. Constantly covering Van Dijk’s mistakes, created the opening goal for the Dutch (very Pep ball pass), and almost scored a Haaland special, as well.

And the Dutch defence collapsed when he was subbed off.
