He was very good yesterday.

I was a bit worried about him going up against Salah because I thought Neto tore Ake a new arsehole a few times when we played Wolves not long ago.

Ake isn't the quickest in terms of being in a sprint with players like that but he's a very intelligent defender and often in the right place with his positioning anyway.

Also, great assist yesterday, great feet. If an attacking player made that assist by beating a few players it would be getting more praise!

Salah isn’t as fast as he was a few years ago, Neto is rapid.
 
Should be starting every game. I’d take him over Dias at the moment - passing is sharp and incisive and as reliable as ever defensively too.

I think we'd have dropped points without him coming on for Dias.
Needs to start against Tottenham for me.
 
He has had a poor start of the season, but last two matches he has been the best om the defense. Deserves to start against Tottenham.
 
Superb as ever. Peps said he cannot play consecutive games right now, im assuming thats as he still fully recovers from his last injury so i hope having to bring him on at halftime today doesn't effect him playing weekend, he's very much needed. Currently feels like the leader and calming influence of the back 4 whenever he's in there. Almost like Dias was 2 years back.

They rarely end up playing together, but it does seem like he would be a good mentor type figure. Ake just seems so laid back and kind (sorry, it’s the mother in me). And he kind of reminds of Kova. So feels like he’d get along with Joško. I love Ruben, but he feels very intense for a mentor role!
 
Superb. Our best defender at the moment.

Always been consistently good for us, as far as I can remember. Can't believe I once doubted this signing.
