I think you are probably right: he is calmer than Ruben.Best out and out defender at the club , lacks Stones's vision but as an all out defender he is one of the best in the country ,vastly underrated footballer.

I think it has improved. He is getting better and better. All the competition has driven him on.His passing is so underrated.
So is he’s positional sense. His passing is so underrated.
IIRC he had the worst ariel duel rate in the league or something like that at Bournemouth. Shocking that he didn't even attempt to attack the ball, though...He was piss poor for their third goal today
Came on for 5-10 mins to seemingly calm things down, yet his defending, or the lack of it, cost us the 3rd. He cost us against Wolves as well. Everyone was quick to attack Gvardiol, who wasn't even responsible for any of the goals, or Kovacic, who wasn't responsible either. I love Nate, but how is he getting away with it today when Josko and Mateo are attacked for much less? I am making a point here because I rate all of them highly, but there seems to be some bias involved. Shouldn't we hold someone who has been at the club for years to a higher, not lower, standard? Ake will not magically solve our problems because Gvardiol is not an issue. They can both play. I am much more concerned about Kyle Walker playing every week. The point is that people scapegoat our new signings when most of our signings need time to adapt, yet the regulars are getting away with the scrutiny.
I would also add that Akanji's pass to Alvarez was unnecessary for their 2nd goal. He had Walker to his right with a ton of space. On the other hand, Alvarez was surrounded by defenders with no real options, and it reminded me of when Rodri passed the ball to Lewis in a similar fashion last season. Then, Lewis obviously lost the ball, and the opposition scored. He could have anticipated the ball into the box more, but Kulesevski had the run on him so there wasn't a lot more he could do. That goal came from Walker fucking trotting out and making no real effort to stop the cross coming in. Bernie was there backing Walker up so he should have sprinted out to make sure Johnson's only option was to go backwards. Piss poor. All the goals we are conceding are piss poor to be honest. Their second - Alvarez trying a little flick over to Haaland and then one header just wipes out our whole midfield and Dias was like a fucking bus trying to get anywhere near Lo Celso to block the shot. The first - a joke. Gil does very well on the edge of their box, but Doku has to deal with Son. And Ederson has to save that shot.

Do you not think Walker was worse for their third? He was piss poor for their third goal today
Agreed. Plus Foden was like a fairy on the edge of their box in the first placeHe could have anticipated the ball into the box more, but Kulesevski had the run on him so there wasn't a lot more he could do. No, Ake watched the ball coming in and didn’t attack itDo you not think Walker was worse for their third?
No. On the other hand, Alvarez was surrounded by defenders with no real options,
Cannot describe it better.Agreed. Plus Foden was like a fairy on the edge of their box in the first place
Who knows, maybe carrying an injury, a small cameo against Spurs in which he defended like a pub player, maybe Pep was unhappy about that. Why is he not playing? Please discuss.
In my opinion he’s a great player, shocked he hasn’t been starting considering the depletion we have in the squad right now.
The link between midfield and forwards was non existent last night so I think Bobb would have been as invisible as Foden and Bernado were.Who knows, maybe carrying an injury, a small cameo against Spurs in which he defended like a pub player, maybe Pep was unhappy about that.
With Grealish and Doku out, I would love to have seen Bob given a start, fresh legs, energy is something we are lacking and he could not have done worse than the players on that pitch last night.
The game is starting to change again for me, pacey, young players are becoming the norm and a lot of our players lack pace and it shows. The link between midfield and forwards was non existent last night so I think Bobb would have been as invisible as Foden and Bernado were.
The Stones/Lewis experiment followed by Akanji going in there was a disaster.
Ake mustn’t be fully fit although he has had some ropey moments in games too. Wolves being one of them.
We seem to struggle against direct and pacey sides.
I'd say the exact opposite. They are becoming the norm. The game is starting to change again for me, pacey, young players are not becoming the norm and a lot of our players lack pace and it shows.
Midfield is very slow, we need pace , energy and legs in there and a few goals to go with that.
