6 Nations 2018

Nope, can't happen. A team winning a Grand Slam gets two additional bonus points so they're guaranteed the title, even if they win every game by 1 point with no tries.
Ah, wasn't aware of that, the first point still stands though.

For me the only stain was west coast rangers beating east coast rangers. Hardly a shock as they know their place. And us winning burst so many deluded Gers balloons I laughed like a drain.

Title race my perfectly formed arse.

Don’t worry i’m not deluded, the title was over a long time ago. Getting closer though & next year even closer again(if not champions).

I'm not really fussed to be honest. The BP system does at least reward teams for consistency throughout the tournament. If it was on points difference you could argue that Ireland belt teams all tournament and England play fitfully, then one great display on the last day and they steal the title. I do get the point that it could mean we don't have the drama of it if Ireland have already won it, but if that's the case, then I can't really argue that they don't deserve it given how they've played over the first four matches.

Let’s see about that. We have £35m in the bank, paltry I know in City terms, but if we qualify for the CL again double that. Rangers owe directors circa £25m that’s a difference of nearly £100m.

We know our defence is a fucking shambles and should have been improved by now, but recent fiascos will make even our skinflint bastard board realise money needs to be spent. It will be.

Rangers have improved, but, as always they get carried away too much too soon. Half the guys that have improved them are on loan. Rangers need to make the group stages of the Europa to make some cash. With the loan players back to their clubs, this will be tough. Not impossible, but really tough.

It’s only for us to fuck up. That could happen, but, it won’t. We know what we need to do. We improve the defence, get one or two creative players and it’s hard to get back.

Let’s see how the game at Ibrox goes. I think we will do them. We haven’t skelped them big time since last year. It would be a piss case after all the tithe challenge, we’re better than Celtic shit on their forums to take them to the cleaners in their own midden.

Here’s hoping. :)

Which Irish sod?

Cheers big gaz for the 5 points anyway, best of luck in the last 2 games.[/QUOTE

I was on about my sparring partner Leighton sorry if you felt insulted ;-) But yep two games to make itlook respectful. At least the new faces in the back row have played well.

Big Gaz you know me I pick my times. I was drunk on Saturday and Sunday my liver didnt know what has hit it these past 2 days. Was a close game at times as Sexton had a shit kicking game from the tee. Always enjoy our games between Ireland and Wales.

As for the game itself the centres of Ireland Farrell and Aki were great together really strong at times and Farrell put in some big hits. Crazy to think Ireland have some really good centres out there playing. Ringrose , Henshaw . Aki and Farrell those 4 guys fighting for 2 places be a really hard call when all 4 are fit. I had Stockdale first try scorer that guy is going to be a beast with a few more caps under him and he will be a go to try scorer for us.

As for England v Scots. A great win by the Scots they so deserved it. BEING honest its great for the 6 Nations to have the Scots , Welsh and English and Irish all being so competitive against each other. Hopefully the French will sort there stuff out as if were more competitive them maybe just maybe 1 of the 6 Nations teams can win a World Cup in the next few years.

Well at least you enjoyed Sat, I made up for it on Sunday mate. Would love to see Aki play with Johnathan Davis in a lions team.

Winning 6 Nation titles are a bit meh without the Grand Slam to go with it.
Ireland will be hoping they can achieve the Grand Slam for the 3rd time in their history.

Always is, but it's not that common - only 38 out of 94 times in the tournament's various guises.

True but it's certainly something Ireland will be wanting to achieve this year, winning the title but no Grand Slam will be a huge disappointment to them.
I have the feeling England will beat them at HQ but it'll be a hell of a game.

Another Irish centre out with a knee injury picked up in training. Farrell who played a storming game against Wales out injured. This Irish team is picking up a few injuries in every game. 1st game Josh Van Flier , Then Robbie Henshaw and Tadgh Furlong and now Farrell. We are getting injuries but whatever it is with Irish rugby the guys coming in to replace them are showing they are good enough so far. Also considering we dont pick players playing outside of Ireland for a daft reason or who will be leaving Irish rugby its some going by what we have already.
