Out of curiosity Mancio, who do you see as having more ability in the league? or even Europe?

i'd reverse the question : who do you see worse than hart in the league or even in europe ?

Re: 6 out???

11 players might be underestimating the amount leaving when you consider Santa Cruz (contract), Bridge (contract), Kolo (contract), McGivern (contract), Scapuzzi (Varese have option to buy), Elabdellaoui (Braunschweig have option to buy), Nimely (surely no future now) are probably going to leave... and that's before other EDS players who might get axed and of course before the first teamers who could be off. Castles said a few months ago it could be 25+ who leave but that would include academy players.

You had very little credibility in your reasoning to start with, that comment doesn't deserve a further response.

-- 14 Feb 2013 20:00 --

11?

had to laugh at this statement in this article

"Mancini has a good knowledge of the Italian market, not least because he played for Napoli during his career."

They certainly know their stuff, must be ITK!

Hahaha

Bobby never played with Maradona.
So Maradona must have been playing for Sampdoria when Bobby was playing for Napoli

So now you're trying to say Hart is the worst keeper in the league?

Re: 6 out???

To be honest there's only really 7 or 8 players who I think the club would flat out refuse to entertain offeres for (Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Clichy, Yaya, Silva, Aguero - probably Nastasic as well) The rest it wouldn't surprise me if we let them go providing we can get a decent offer and a better replacement.

*I'm not saying sell the whole squad bar 8 players before anyone starts, just that there are quite a few in our squad we would entertain selling if the offer is right.

With regards to actively looking to offload, I'd say, under Mancini, we'd look to get rid of Lescott, Kolarov, Sinclair, Tevez and Dzeko. But that's my opinion.

Might not be popular but I can see Barry and Milner going if we get offers.

Re: 6 out???

Other than the obvious out of contract players I could see the following leave.

Lescott and Kolarov

If decent offers are received then posisbly Barry, Sinclair, Nasri and Dzeko sould go.

I also think we'll try to get something for Tevez. He's stated he wants to return to Argentina but I could see him possibly moving to a Brazilian side (more of an advertisement coup for the upcoming World Cup).

I have a horrible feeling we could see Aguero leave for Real Madrid.....If that happens and we replace him with either Cavani or Falcao and bring in Bale then that would ease the pain.

Barry I agree with, although I get the impression Mancini likes him. I'd like Milner to stay though.

Re: 6 out???

Quite a few English players on the out lists here, you've got to remember there's a quota on homegrown players. I can say with some confidence those spots won't get filled by any academy players which means in your scenarios most of the budget will be needed to spend on over valued English players.

Re: 6 out???

I think Barry and Milner will stay and Rodwell the only english player i can see possibly leaving and then only if we get a decent offer is Scott Sinclair. I wonder if Barry could start getting ready for a coaching role etc? I think he will mainly be on from the bench next season depends how it all pans out.

Well there is no law against it. The rule is you can only name 17 non-homegrown players, leaving 8 spots for homegrown. So say we only have 6 homegrown players but trust a couple of under-21s who don't need registering (say: Nastasic and Guidetti) then we could submit a squad list with 23 names. ie. http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2 ... failing-to

Thanks iv finally learnt something from this forum, I was under the impression there was a compulsory set number.
Seeing the format in a different light seems like a lackluster attempt to encourage homegrown player's. Is this also the case for European competitions?

Re: 6 out???

I wouldn't be surprised if Barry left. Maybe a return to Villa or a move to Leicester.

I know that Barry had a horror show last game but he was quite good even in the current season. Also he's not the youngest but I think he can still do a job for us. Possibly not in the CL, though but he is still a top player on PL level. The fee we cant get for him I guess isn't too big anyways.

Re: 6 out???

wouldnt be surprised if rodwell, garcia and sinclair leave, none of them have improved us and been a waste of money.
