We keep going round in circles on this one.
It's always been like that. In the 80s when average attendance was 25,000 we'd get 12,000 for early carling cup games.
The FA Cup was different, that used to always get a big gate. But it isn't what it was and hasn't the same prestige.
Oddly, even though a home FA Cup 3rd or 4th round these days doesn't usually get a full crowd. Our biggest away followings are always these games.
