The club can announce that sales of Wigan Athletic’s allocation of tickets for the FA Cup Quarter Final against Manchester City on Sunday March 9 are now approaching the 2,000 mark.

With the lower tier of the away end at The Etihad Stadium now fully sold out, only upper tier tickets remain, priced at £22.50 for adults.

If this true then it means that 116 must be going to City fans, or is being held back for some reason.

On the offchance we win a cup on Suday, surely it will be paraded at the Wigan match? In which case there will be an almighty rush for tickets Monday morning.
