I think its very hard to come from a regular german team to City, hard to find its place and movements, remember its kamikaze football in the mid-table Bundesliga and all of a sudden there is no space for him to run (into), and when he does good runs he is not getting the ball yet. I think City will have to adapt to him and he will have a learning curve to find more space in between as well. It will be hard to find a set position for him I feel, cos Im not sure where to place him properly really.

Hopefully but that remains to be seen.

I do think he'll be a good player for us though, once he gets settled and we get back to being a team with a bit of momentum.
I don’t need to see more. He has better technique, passing and positioning. And there is huge difference playing in this and City from previous 2 seasons.

Marmoush is going to make fans say “Julian who?” by the time his story is written at City.

His speed, movement and eye for goal are exceptional and he’s working his socks off a few goals and he’ll be like an old favorite!

makes good runs but we dont seem tom pick them up. Should have put one of his chances away yesterday, a first goal will do him good

Not for me, 80m for Alvarez seemed a great bit of business but he has been a huge loss, a tirless player that every club needs and his goals/assists are superb.
It’s OK.

Alvarez is more G.Jesus player to me.
Omar is just more of the player.

Far too early to say. He makes good runs but has missed some chances too. We have spent two and a half seasons not playing balls over the top for Erling so I have difficulty seeing how it will be different for Marmoush. Comparing him with Alvarez at this early stage is just daft. Lets wait and see how things develop.

At least he's getting on the end of things. With abit more luck he puts one in, and I think he will start firing.

I’m still excited about this signing. He’ll take a few games to settle but his record in Germany along with what I’ve seen of him with us so far makes me think he’ll do well here.

I like that he seems to have some attitude and confidence too. I dislike shrinking violets in any walk of life, but for a pro sportsman it's an even worse trait - confidence is a huge part of being successful. I reckon Marmoush is going to be a star in this league.

He has come into an under performing team that is getting chopped and changed weekly and where the two main creators, one in De Bruyne whom can't play 90 minutes anymore, and Foden barring a really promising purple patch in January has had a really up and down season.

Once we get some stability back and replace the older players and plan ahead with the next generation team he won't fully flourish and find himself at home in the team.

Just an enthusiastic new lad trying to impress at the moment. If he retains that enthusiasm and energy, he should improve our attacking power once he’s settled.

First impressions - so my take may be way off... but...

For me, I think that where Marmoush will shine is on the wing as a complement to Haaland. As a 10 he underperformed - not able to exploit his runs behind the lines - and as the sole 9 - well, that wasn't at all impressive either. The guy has bags of talent - in our system I think he'll be best played wide, on the wing.

Think the issue yesterday (or looked like) he ran the lines/channels looked up and not one player had vacated the space in the 9 or needed either FB and both CBs to think twice. They could all just swarm a lone runner.

He's a bit nervous which is understandable. Would be great if his first goals came vs Madrid.

Came from carrying Frankfurt and having the freedom of the park to being part of a completely different system, in a side row on confidence. Was always going to take a while to settle. Lots of pace, runs all game and just needs to take a chance and he will grow from there.
