I really dont like that he's only been here a month and this thread is mainly posters finding every excuse under the sun for why his own level of ability has been subpar. doesn't bode well

Not passing to your teammates when it’s a good option is something that I think new signings can be criticised for from day one.

It looked like Kev was playing alongside Haaland and i thought right, if thats what Pep wants then lets get Marmoush on and play him there. Marmoush comes on and is shunted out on the wing for some reason.
Same here. I thought Kova was to replace Kev when he was coming on. Then I thought it would be Marmoush. I was confused when I saw him and Gundo together on the touchline.

If we have a ball controlling midfield like the old days of David it makes more sense to have player like Marmoush on the wing.

Neither Foden or Marmoush want to or are best played on the wing.

They want to play centrally near the spaces around the striker.

But with Grealish just getting injured, and Doku presumably not fit, that leaves Savio as the only fit winger, so one of them has to play on the other wing.

Now this can be completely overcome by simply abandoning the forced thought of wingers wide, letting fullbacks hold the width and allowing the wingers to play inside. I think Doku and even Savio, whom are considered wide wingers, would probably love to have more flexibility to drift in central positions.

He looks really promising, you can tell his Bundesliga goals didn’t come out of nowhere. He just needs some time to adapt to the team and the league. You can see he knows how to finish, and hopefully, he keeps that up. His positioning in attack also stands out - his runs behind the defenders are excellent. The problem is, he rarely gets the passes he needs. Even now, it was the goalkeeper who found him, not a midfielder whose job it is to create those opportunities, and that’s a bit concerning.

Savio is looking really good as well. You can tell he has the potential to become a top player if he continues to develop, and if he keeps improving, he could be something.

Great finishing Omar...it was like waiting for a bus!

Keep it going lad!
