No worse than Foden and Bernardo and surely if we are changing from certain players the new ones deserve a regular chance to cement themselves in the team? Foden should be on the for sale list at anything over £100m imo, I think he needs a new challenge to ignite himself again.
One bad season in seven, and you want to sell our homegrown Player of the Year? That's genuinely laughable.

He made lots of decent runs into the box yesterday and in fairness Gundo and others tried to find him but the penalty box was clogged. Against less negative teams, those runs will pay off - as we saw against Newcastle
First game I watched where many saw the runs. It was good to see

That bar is low for him based on the match thread.
He was our best attacking player, created our best chance and was the only one who forced their clown keeper to make a couple of saves and ran his socks off and even made some nice tackles, I feel sorry for him getting no service at all from that garbage midfield, he's fucking quality.

Did OK up front pretty much on his own, worked hard and helped defensively

Still not really sure where his position will be going into next season, and still seems a little soft/lightweight

I thought he's looked a lot stronger since coming back from the International break.

Worked hard, didn't offer much else though. If he can't play upfront in the absence of Haaland, that's going to be a problem.

He was bought as the Haaland replacement that can also get enough game time in other positions but doesn't seem to know how to play striker and Pep is putting a walking kdb there ahead of him. Alvarez would have started upfront today

Can’t really work him out as player. Clearly talented but it’s hard to see what his position will be in the long term. Doesn’t look like he can be the main striker if Haaland is out. Hasn’t been starting much on the left of a front 3 and if he starts up top with Haaland he looks much better but leaves us very open

Safe to say if Haaland is fit he plays...

Therefore its difficult to see where Marmoush fits in..he aint a number 10 thats for sure and even when Haaland is out he aint a number 9.....if we are to play him and Haaland the only way I can see him playing is if he plays from the wide positions (probably wide left) - if thats the case he is going to have to learn the art of defending from that position as well.

Seems like he plays better when he has teammates close by to him.

He’d have thrived of David Silva’s little passes that he could run on to.

Hopefully with some summer signings, he can flourish more next season.

Not sure what Haaland would have offered more today, or why Marmoush would be criticised for a poor game plan/lineup.

Marmoush didn't play upfront today, kdb did and marmoush played off the left.

The point I was making wasn't specific to today. if he is to be the second striker option we need, he's got a lot of work to do because pep playing kdb as the 9 today suggests he is far from convinced of his ability to play as a 9 at present. Hopefully that changes in time as he settles but the signs arent great.

Alvarez would have started as the 9 today if he was still here. Not saying it would have changed the game today it was more about the need for a second option as the 9, if marmoush isn't that option then we'll need to find another which brings more problems with balancing the squad.

Don’t really agree with that. Here are the heat maps

If anything, they both led the line but Marmoush was definitely the furthest forward on a lot of occasions, as seen by the many futile attempts to play him in behind. KDB also moved around a fair bit.

I get what you mean but tbh, I'm not sure that's even a criticism of the player - more how Pep wants them to play or views his ability. For what it's worth, he has looked better moving in off the left with an overlapping player, but I do think he can work as a no9

He wasn't the problem today.

Early days but I think he's going to be good for us. Like any player he can't do it on his own, though.
