Pushed off the ball too easily. Mind you I said the same about David Silva in his first season so hopefully history will repeat itself.
He is no David Silva :D , but let´s hope for the best. Definetly can take some scoring pressure off from Haaland ,whos performing pretty poorly after injury.

It was more to highlight the fact that the PL might be more physical, or maybe just a bit different, than he’s used to.

Tbf thought he had a pretty bad performance other than the goal, kept giving the ball away.

Oh yeah please by all means lets show our agenda by totally ignoring his pass to KDB which should have been a goal.

Let's praise the play it sideways and backwards players instead! They had a much better game and kept the ball!

Ok!

I have considered City shot-shy. We shouldn't be so any more. And Rodri has a shot on him too. Hoping that with these 2 playing there will be less pussy-footing about when we get to the pen. area.

We've got loads they've just had it trained out of them. Kdb can smash them in from anywhere, foden scored more goals from outside the box last season than any player in thr league, bernardo used to love a little 25 yard curler, rodri we know has a hammer on him, we saw yesterday nico can hit them and kovacic is the highest scoring 6 in the league this year with his best ever goal tally. Not short on players with that in their locker it's just not encouraged. And typically when somebody does do it, it's usually a bloody centre back smashing it into the stands.
Ruby says hi…

You obviously weren’t at the game. His contribution to the pressing that saw us dominate the game and play as well as we have all season was outstanding. A wonder goal and what should have been an assist as well. Not sure what some are missing to see with this guy. Definitely city standard, which is more than can be said for quite a few recent signings

In a way, he reminds me a lot like Sterling.

Both had flaws in their game. But also had some magic that couldn't be fully bottled.

His control is loose. His passing is shaky.
, his physicality is meh. But he is electric, sudden, quick/explosive if not fast. and decisive.

He will become one of those WC players with permanent detractors.

Was at the game. Thought he was good with pressing and still think he's definitely City standard...

All I'm saying is I thought he wasn't as comfortable with his passing as he has been in previous games, never said he wasn't 'City standard'

Totally agree that it’s on Pep but I swear every Kovacic goal he scores he’s slipping over as he hits it

His lack of physicality is the reason why he cannot play as a lone striker .
