I actually think the new style of play will suit him, playing with more space to break into, it’s what he’s used to in Germany.

He can play where Doku is playing, closer to Haaland and he’ll eat up goals on the break, once he has it under control he rarely loses the ball.

Plenty of games and opportunities to play, it’s nice to have the option of him and Doku, long old season, he’ll come into the fold.

He made a big difference once we signed signed him but unfortunately his been injured/not up to speed this season

He knows where the net is and I expect he will have a material impact between now and the end of the season

Marmoush can certainly play in the Doku-tucked inside role. Doku has ended up with acres of space to run into and Omar probably has the best long range shot in the team to unleash in those positions

For us, in our current guise, that's where he fits. He's not a main striker as we have the best one in the world. He's not as good as foden as a 8/10. He's not as good as doku on the left. It's not a slight. For me he's good enough for the squad but our best 11 doesn't have him in it. All opinions of course.

I think he'll be a great rotation - since Lijnders came in we seem to have moved on from flogging the same 14/15 to death.

Egyptian FA have held talks with Manchester City to try and convince the Blues to release Omar Marmoush earlier than expected for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Although the tournament in Morocco begins on December 21, with Egypt kicking off their campaign the following day, the Pharaohs play Nigeria in a friendly in Cairo on Sunday, December 14.

It seemed to go, (E) miss, (CV) miss, (E) goal, (CV) miss, (E) goal, (CV) miss, (E) miss, (CV) miss, so Egypt scored 2 of their first 3, Marmoush was the miss.

A bigger question is why have a shoot out after a friendly ?

All of his best performances came when playing with Ekitike in a 2-striker system in Frankfurt. He is not built for the lone striker role .
