7 | Omar Marmoush - 2025/26

Poor showing. Frustrated me when Cherki crossed and he didn't pounce on the back post earlier.

Will probs be off in the summer, he's a great player but I just don't think he fits in the team.

Expecting players who have not been playing to come in and be match-sharp is unrealistic.
Marmoush showed appetite and movement but lacked final product, and he wasn't on his own.
I do think we need to consider what we do with Haaland's understudy because they are not going to be playing ahead of him.

there is a bit of a difference between being match sharp and still not being able to time a run

According to reports he’s on circa 290k per week. Will be hard to shift on those wages.

I’m 100% sure that he won’t be on that. What would he have been on at Frankfurt, 70k?
In my view, there is simply no way that he is one of the highest earners at the club

just another stick someones picked up

in second half though i couldnt work out why not playing more centrally but chance he did miss looked awful and when think cherki crossed along 6 yard line he was found watching

Absolutely mind blowing what he's on. Only 4 players earn more than him. Unsustainable for a bit part player.

Another player in the same bracket as Savinho for me, possibly a better player though and thats why its even more disappointing its not happpening for him. Looks good, loads of potential, nice body movement, decent touch a fantastic powerful shot but far too often its a terrible end product. The chance when he was through and offside yesterday said it all for me. He's away and offside so he has a head start on the defender and still doesn't get his shot off at goal and it gets blocked. We've got a few players in the second 11 that look far better than their return and Marmoush is one of them.

Marmoush, I think, is super talented, but he almost never plays. And then when he makes the occasional start, given his lack of playing time, he's rusty and plays poorly. Either we need to start him more often - to determine if lack of playing time accounts for his recent poor performances -or we should look to sell him on.

He's got a cheap loan with an option to buy to a Serie A team written all over him

Maybe Spurs, Newcastle or Chelsea but that’s it - there is a very small number of clubs who can 1) pay the required transfer fee and 2) pay his wages

I’m simply not having that he is on nearly 300k, he’d have come for half that so why would we make him one of the top earners?

But either way, not many can pay 200k and he hardly did himself any favours shop window wise, yesterday
