7 | Omar Marmoush - 2025/26

Gonna be really important for us when he comes back, his potential partnership with Haaland could be really fruitful. If we get him performing like he did at Frankfurt he and Haaland will really complement each other. See Mbappe this season for comparison and we know he’s been in red hot form.IMG_4640.jpegIMG_4639.jpeg

One major thing that he contributes with is having a player that can actually strike the ball properly. You probably need to not feel so much pressure, having a lot of training session where you succeed behind you and having the confidence to know that you would succeed at a pretty frequent rate; in order to start contributing at a high level with assists and goals. Doku, Savinho and Bobb are not doing it yet, but doing it at training, getting into good positions and let the instincts take over should improve the output given time. O. Marmoush does not have those problems. He can strike the ball - it is more an issue of settling into the team and the league.

I’ve said it got a while. He’s one of the only players we have who can kick the ball hard/shoot properly

Once he get up to speed this season, he’ll be fine

The question I have is where does he fit?

He's not a winger, I don't think he is technically good enough to be a #10 and he is behind Cherki and Foden in that, and he's not supplanting Haaland.

I think it would be foolish to try and change the system to accommodate two strikers especially as we are just starting to find our tempo and form again.

From the left.Upfront off Haaland the odd game game against average teams or if we’re chasing a game.

We need his goals , we can't rely on Doku or Savio for goals from wings.

I think we may see a system that deploys Haaland with Cherki & Marmoush wide but not wingers.. With Foden in the 10. And other weeks we’ll see the more traditional wingers Doku & Savinho.

Obviously offside(again) so didn’t get of the sofa for the goal - I’d play him though because no other wingers are doing much(anything)

his form at Frankfurt between August and January is what we would need now, goals and assists almost every game. that got him the transfer to City. but he is deffo a player who wont be able to show his best in rotation and not sure Pep wants both him and Haaland to be regular starters together.
the "start a game, then dont start next two" will not work with Marmoush.

Get him in the team and one thing is guaranteed. Shots on goal - we can start with that and take it from there

Not particularly sophisticated, but football can be a simple game

Start him the next couple of games, if he gets goals than he should be the starter on the left side, sick of wingers who can't hit a barn door.
