Think 7 points out of last 5 games should do it.
liverpool cant catch us
spuds have to win 4 of there 6 games
villa have to win 5 and draw 1 of there 6 games.

Does everyone agree???
 
Agreed.


But what it does mean is that whether we want to believe it or not the next 2 games are not vital games.


the important ones are vs spurs and villa. Win those 2 and it more than likely will not matter about other results.



if we do get 2 or 4 points out of the next 2 games then all the pressure is off for the 2 games against our direct rivals.


so essentially we have 2 bites at this cherry.

Agreed,and a win for Arsenal tonight will be a massive boost for us. Personally I think Arsenal will win it!
 
Tonight we will see what Spurs are made of.

I think they are just about ready to crumble. The suspension of Palacios for Arse and Chelsea is a huge blow for them.

Even if we lose our next two (which we won't) I expect we will still be minimum of 3pts ahead of them with three to play, and a better goal difference.

i also think 7 points would be enough as long as the spuds don,t beat us but if we beat the rags on saturday then i can see us possibly getting 13 points winning 4 and drawing 1 we are playing with so much confidence at the moment and that added to beating the rags would give the players the perfect platform for the remaining 4 games

Spuds are missing key players tonight. Palacios, Lennon(I think still), Kranjcar (Has been a very important player)

Arse are missing key players too I suppose.

Come on Blue dippers and Arse anyway!!!!!! You can do it!

Could this 4th spot be turning into more than just a dream for me? I think so!!
 
an arsenal win tonight would really help

I think the derby will be a draw so arsenal can really do us a favour tonight.
 
Its Villa im most worried about.
There games are piss easy.
Only us or Everton who will give them a game.
Everton have to get a result tonight against Villa or we have a big worry with them.

Come on Everton and Arsenal......!!!!!!

Got a house full of Rag mates at mine tonight aswell for the Spuds V Arsenal game. I can see us all falling out after the game as one side wont be happy after 90mins!

I'd agree with this ......

last season Arsenal grabbed 4th spot with 72 points .....

as things stand right now , we may get away with achieving just short of that total PROVIDING we can get something out of the Spurs and Villa games.

I suppose you thought Wolves and Sunderland wouldn't give Villa a game but look what happened there. Villa are a good side but they are extremely inconsistant and would probably have to win 5 out of their last 6 games to stand any chance of getting 4th place and while they're the fixtures look good on paper just like Liverpools did you actually have to look at how they've performed recently to see that no fixtures are easy for them

But still thats in the past. All we can go on now is the upcoming games and on paper they look good for Villa hense that is why im worried about them.

It's only right to be a little concerned until they are out of it but you've got to look at the bigger picture and see that Villa have struggled at home recently and while i expect them to beat Blackburn at home they won't find it easy going tonight against a well organised Everton side and against Birmingham as it's a derby. They have Pompey away which you would expect them to win and Hull away which won't be easy although there result at weekend will give Villa a bit more confidence going there however recently Hull have been pretty good at home, beating us, drawing with Chelsea and pushing Arsenal all the way so i don't think they'll find it as easy as some way think

Of course Villa are capable of winning 4 out of the remaining 6 but there also capable of only winning say 1 of the remaining 6 because thats what they're like. They're an extremely one dimensional side and if they don't get an early goal they tend to struggle and against well organised defences such as Everton and Birmingham they may find it difficult to break them down
