If he was more clinical he would score 50 goals a season. The header was great but walker set one up on a plate for him and he hit the defender from 12 yards out with the goal to aim at!

Still a great player though and will score 20 plus!

Had a poor game by his recent seasons’ standards.

Was very wasteful, kept taking the greedy option.

had Walker-Peters on toast and didn't make the most of it unfortunately.

The kind of performance that Sane's critics would have lambasted him for. Still more consistency to find, very well taken goal but when there's 4 or 5 to be had on the table he has the potential and ability to start taking them on a regular basis. Could have had back-to-back hat-tricks which whilst unusual for most other teams, wouldn't have been out of place the way we've played the first 2 games and is the level we should strive for seeing as we put ourselves in those positions.

He kept making himself predictable to defend against as the game went on.

He tired to cut inside too much and Spurs were reading it so Walker-Peters didn’t have to get drawn in like he did first half and gave Raheem the space to cut inside and run onto traffic.

Poor stuff from Raz that, he’s become a much better player than he showed from that naïve kind of play.

Pep Guardiola on @sterling7: “Normally it is not easy for wingers to score because they tend to work away from goal. But Raheem moves from side to side so well and has an incredible sense of getting into the box to score when the ball is coming. He is fantastic..."

“Some players play well, but forget the goal is there. But Raheem always has a sense where the goal is and knows that if he attacks that space he can score. If he can win the Golden Boot of course I will congratulate him.” #MCFC

Pep Guardiola on @sterling7: “I think he’s a better player. His desire to be better is a credit to him. Every player is good when they understand what we want to do. After that it is about his desire to be better, to improve his skills and to talk about him..."

“He reacts incredibly to our talks, when Mikel [Arteta] speaks to him or myself. That’s nice, when they don’t feel we are pushing or criticising them. He is open. He has been from day one. That’s why he's an incredible, exceptional player.”
