That is the worst definition of world class I've ever heard.

There's only 11 world class players? What if the 2 best goalkeepers that ever played the game were both around at the same time? Only 1 is world class?

Who are the 11 world class players then?
Good point. And if one of the word class XI gets injured, would someone else step up to become world class?

His limitations as a player are still there and he’s not as good as we think he is. In times of team injuries, the best players take the game over and lead the team. Instead, Sterling has shrunk as a player without the best midfield in the world behind him.

Still a long way to go before this lad is world class.

Doesn’t help that he’s not a left winger at all for me. He’s been great there when he’s had Fernandinho/de Bruyne/David/Bernardo playing in centre mid behind him but we’ve only had one, the odd time two, of these players at any one time in centre mid this season and Sterling has not risen to the fore and lead this team.

How good do we think he is ?, so we know that he is not as good as we think.?

He isn't better on the right than left, its just that in this England team, when he plays RW he is allowed freedom to basically drift inside completely.

He basically played as a second striker to Kane, and their link up play is amazing.

Pep forces Sterling out wide too much, he needs freedom to come inside, you can fix that by playing Angelino/Mendy at LB and give him more of a controlling midfielder on his side rather than David (or make David play more of a control game) like Zinchenko.

I prefer him on the right as I think he offers more of a threat - he moves more centrally without the ball and gets into more goal scoring positions and with the ball, he can take it to the byline more often.

On a more general point though, and I’ve thought this from his first couple of seasons with us, I’ve never wanted a player to succeed more than I do Sterling. To deal with what he’s had to deal with and not just come through it but thrive and become the role model he has both on and off the pitch just fills me with complete admiration for him.
