Was hoping sterling would get some support tonight after Liverpool & Gomez fiasco but zero sterling chants during the entire game.

I think Chelsea had done their homework well. They had 3 very experienced players on that side of the pitch and that didn’t help. Mendy playing absolutely shite in the first half didn’t help either.

I would prefer him to have a free role to be honest but can’t see that happening

Maybe. I think we aren’t getting the best of him currently because he is being so closely marked. Look where he was when he “scored” the goal today. That’s where I want to see him.

Well if Sergio is out for 4 to 6 weeks then Jesus can't play every game.

I'd quite like to see a 352 with the two of them up front personally but doubt Pep will play it.

Not sure if I’ve missed something, but where are you getting 4-6 weeks from? Is that an arbitrary figure you’ve come up with?

Yeah just a random guess based on it being a "bad" muscle injury.

I feel like even the small tweaks are a fortnight out so if it's bad than a month seems like the minimum likely time out. Pep mentioned him maybe missing the most difficult part of the season which is Christmas/ New Years as well.

So badly want to see this.

Allows mendy, Angelino, and Cancelo to attack more out wide, would allow Mahrez to go central more where he is more dangerous, and sterling too.

He played it when mendy was fit before, should experiment at least in these cup games and champions league matches.
