Think I’ll stick with Guardiola’s opinion on this one :)
Didn’t say he shouldn’t be in the team just that he’s overrated as is Rashford. Both very poor when given time and whilst good player’s neither are even close to world class but the English press paint a different picture.

Do they?

Rashford gets spoken about like he's Pele whenever he has a good month but that's par for the course with united players. Bruno's better than Kev, McTominay is better than Rodri, Rashford is better than Sterling, Wan Bissaka is better than Walker, Maguire is better than Stones, Welbeck and Lingard are the future of England and so on and so on. United and Liverpool players will always be drastically overrated for obvious reasons.

Sterling, on the other hand, is rarely presented as anything other than a really good player because that's what he is. The only time I've seen him widely touted as a world class player in the media is around the time he won the football writer's player of the year award.

People seem to get this idea in their heads that the English media are constantly hyping up all our players but I've found the opposite to be far closer to the truth, save for a couple of favourites and just about any teenager who has played half a game in the prem.

This guy should never play against AWB. It’s embarrassing how much he’s in his pocket. Never seen him have a good game against him or united for that matter.
