Completely different price points. For all we know we could take a cut on Sterling just to get back some of our initial outlay. Put him on the market for 30m and you have plenty of suitors.
We aren’t selling him for £30m though, and nor should we. I don’t rate him (or this current version of him) but you don’t sell players with his G/As for £30m. We would be looking for £70m+ and if nobody is out there to pay it, he is going nowhere.

I’m not even convinced we would sell if someone offered us £100m.

It seems to me that without the "opposite" winger getting to the by line and laying across for him then he becomes quite ineffective and tries to chase the game. It would be good to see just how many of his goals have been tap ins where the above happens. Unfortunately defenders seem to have got the measure of him when he tries to come inside onto his right foot and so even that source of goal has gone away as well.

I guarantee its been spoken about, his next contract is going to be another 40/50m commitment from us and if that money being free'd up means you can go get Haaland and someone else I bet its considered.

Woeful today, his miss and overall play in the first half was terrible. He's had a bad 18 months imo and it's no surprise he's fallen out of the first team. I would sell if we could get at least £80m but not sure who can afford that at the moment
