Agree Cancelo was excellentNeed to see him back to RW and let Cancelo play LWB, who is impressing more and more as time goes on.

Totally agree but he wants to play on the left. Suppose as it’s easier for him to play on the inside and bag plenty of tap ins. Goal stats look great but as most blues no his all round game is a shadow of where it was 2 years ago.Feel sorry for him, should be playing on the right not the left, he only has one foot and this cutting inside into packed defences is doing him no favours. I'd be knocking on the managers door if I were him.
Do you remember this forum 2 years ago? Constant criticisms that despite the goals he was only a tap in merchant and his all round game was non-existent.Totally agree but he wants to play on the left. Maybe, for me he's always a 7/10 player - looking over the last year or two he has had spells that have won us many games. My point was he really struggles against Liverpool and perhaps putting Phil on who, like us all, hates them. We still should have won the game so good signs especially given our great start to the CL campaign. We need to hit our peak from xmas onwards -something I think will happen as we are looking strong and solid down the middle now. it could be worse we could be Arsenal or Utd ha!He plays like this regularly now, against anyone.
The odd good game, gets on the end of good moves and scores, and we all start to get a bit relieved he might be turning a corner. But then he’ll have five stinkers out of seven games on a rotation.
He’d always make fuck ups when given time and space to think there’s no disputing that but he had a long spell of playing really well regularly on the right. Him on one side Sané on the other was a joy to watch and he was destroying fullbacks with his pace and dribbling. From the left he can barely use his pace with constantly having to cut back and no confidence in his left foot.Do you remember this forum 2 years ago? You can say his all-round game is still not good enough, but it's a bit misinforming to suggest he's a shadow of the all round player he was.
There is plenty to worry about, because while we wait, without any guarantee, for him to suddenly develop the ability to retain possession, beat his man and make the right decisions.....we continue to struggle in an area of the pitch he occupies.Raheem will be back to his best soon enough, nothing to worry about.
It's not just the scousers is it. Recent games have shown the same issues in lack of control, composure and decesion making. Needs to be benched for a while.I think Raheem still holds a psychological fear when he plays the scousers - he rarely plays at his usual standards when he faces them. Last year it was his spat with Gomez, this year he just seemed tentative as if he was second guessing what to do. I think it's a mental thing but do understand it considering the truly hideous way their fans reacted to him leaving. Look no further than what happened with Pickford - death threats to his family and the like - sums them up. I hope to God we never become such a disgusting fan base as those on Merseyside. Raheem will be back to his best soon enough, nothing to worry about.
