Goal aside he was pathetic again and always will be as long as he remains on the left. 1st half he dribbled straight into the tackle to be dispossessed time after time. Also gave no help to Cancelo against Walcott and Walker Peters. 2nd half constantly fucked the counter due to not having a clue what to do apart from try and cut in on his right. Play him on the right or not at all
 
People will cut him slack because he scored but he was shit once again. Yes, he put one away but made a complete mess out of at least 3 or 4 chances.

Like a deer in headlights whenever he faces a defender. Stops and fannies about until the chance is gone
 
My biggest frustration is he just stops as soon as he sees a defender. We have all seen games where he has ran at defenders with amazing dribbling and set up or scored a goal. With his pace defenders will be terrified to stick a foot out for risk of giving away a penalty. But he just doesn't back himself to take on a defender and just stops and passes the ball back. He has the ability he just refuses to do it.

Its his decision making that is the issue, just seems to hesitate so much in front of goal. I think we have killed the natural game of Sterling. He doesn't hit it unless he has calculated that he thinks its going to go in, sometimes you just have to take a touch and have a go.
