Sterling is a far, far better finisher than he used to be.
Still not good enough though given his chance to conversion rate.
And his ability to take on one or two opponents while driving into the box leads to many goals - either for him outright - or via a pass to an open teammate after forcing the opposition defense out of shape.
He rarely drives into the box,and when he does he usually loses the ball, makes a poor decision,or falls over.....this quite often puts us on the backfoot.
Sterling is a bit off form for goal scoring at the moment - but he still breaks down opponents and his contribution on defenses when we don't have the ball seems excellent.
He works hard enough,i'd just like to see a little more substance in that respect, his efforts are all a bit lightweight.

He's a bit of a diamond in the rough still - but I fucking hated him 2 years ago :-).

Yes he's no Robin/Ribbery and probably won't ever be... but he'll probably improve from here. I'm not dissatisfied with him ATM - especially since I thought he totally sucked awhile back :-). But yeah - I get your frustration with him.

It is frustration because i don't think we are seeing anywhere near the best of him,and we haven't for far too long..... i worry if we already have,or we ever will again.

I thought he played really well tonight. We weren't attacking normally with no one at all playing striker, and a lot more defensive responsibilities than normal so he was a lot deeper, and he seemed to be the one who came deep to help out the most.

By the end of the game no one had made more tackles than him. He was also only denied an assist by the post, and was blatantly obstructed by Shaw but apparently that's not a foul anymore.

He's played more football than anyone else in the squad, puts in 100% game after game after game. Yes the goals aren't going in like normal but I think the amount of disrespect this forum seems to have for one of our best players, who's been integral to our success under Pep is continually saddening.

His movement is a cut above. It's so impactful.

His last two performances have been vastly improved. He is actually looking a threat again. He could do with eradicating the ridiculous though. That 1v1 against Chelsea and then being caught by that fat bastard at LB tonight.
