reckon 300k-350k is deffo on the table for Sterling from the club. Raheem is the one delaying because he wants to see what his game time is like this season
That isn't too different from what he's currently earning, isn't it?

We don't have any other players with his ability to get in behind and break quickly. If we get rid, we are losing a weapon / someone who'd need to be replaced, IMO. Grealish is a different type of player and with Ferran featuring more at striker we really are limiting our game to very few direct options. If Braaf has no future and Sterling wants out, who becomes the outlet on the wing that could create a fast-break and feed the soon-to-arrive Halaand. Plenty can, but just like when we lost Sane, Sterling out means less variety in our attack. Still think he's one of the best at his position when he shows up.

I really do wonder who will move on this summer and who will stay. What is Pep's future and what are we planning to build next. Bernardo, Jesus, Sterling - can see 2/3 leaving - which IMO, will be a big loss
Your first sentence informs on what he used to do. Hasn't done them things to any great effect for nigh on 18 months now. Runs up blind alleys, gets bundled off the ball, concedes possession so easily which is all so frustrating because we know what he is capable of. Bewildering what has happened to him tbh.

Possession always seems to break down with Raheem.

Agree. Like I said, it's frustrating to watch. It's like his head goes a bit when the opposition close in on him. Really hope he can rediscover that form of 3 seasons ago.

I don’t understand, why would he go to Newcastle.

Despite being a City player for 6 years, people have fallen for the Liverpool hitjob &convinced themselves he just wants money, and Newcastle have money.

And before a bunch of angry gammon faced posters rush in to say how dare I suggest people fell for Liverpool's slander, nothing he's done or said has ever pointed to him just wanting more money - in fact the line out of the club briefings and sources more likely to be close to the player have all been saying he's waiting to see how this side evolves under Pep and if there's a place for him - but there's hundreds of comments about it in this thread, so ask yourself why else you're obsessed with his salary.

No idea what happens here on in with Sterling, I hoped the Euros would have kicked him back into life but he's been pretty poor since then when he's featured.

Technical ability seems to be the part of his game that suffers the most when he's like this.

Utter shite

We should try and get one of their talented youngsters out of this at the very least. Now moriba has gone to leipzig and fati has just re-signed who else do they have with promise?
How about giving our own kids a chance in place of Barca youngsters who will go back to Barcelona eventually?

The sooner he signs that new deal on offer the better it's for everyone, he has no suitors for him elsewhere in Europe, no one will meet those demands, and it's arguably a downgrade from here on if he switches, this is the only place where he can pick up form again and be an integral part of our success. He will, imo, struggle overseas and clubs like Newcastle or elsewhere should be an instant no. Obviously his decision though.

But he's also struggling with us and has been for a good while now

This just shows how ridiculous your initial post was and now you have surpassed yourself. Detractors being plural, your response being singular and, far from the mark if you care to read back over these last few weeks.

I simply think you simply have a gripe with me and like to have a pop now and again.

I think you need to accept many posters will post negative things about players when they perform poorly, which with Sterling, has been doing.

Define a good while? There's no argument against him struggling, but he struggled for form towards end of last season, and then it's carried on for less than 10 games into this season. It's demanding, and yes he should do better, but a while is a massive stretch. He wasn't getting picked ahead of Foden last season in big games (aside the final which was a Pep special for the lineup). It's almost cliche now but football moves too fast, one bad game and you lose your touch, then you struggle for a bit.

Everyone suggesting he should leave or go as if he isn't an established member of the squad who knows the club, the demands and as if a replacement is just going to sort that right away is massively mistaken. You try to fix this, and see how it goes till end of season. Else the door is open, he can go, or he can take up the new offer (if there is one), stay patient, and it'll just be a matter of time before he finds form. It's in everyone's best interest, imo, that we keep him.

Bit odd to me that when you mention CL failures and rant away at Pep after a loss, some of the fans in here remind you of the shite times, they say this present is a privilege so fuck a loss, no one cares. But when it comes to a player, a lot just join in on the hate bandwagon and scapegoating certain players post a loss, instead of remembering the shite players we had in the past. So what if Sterling has lost a bit of form? Funny how that works ain't it. We act like a very entitled fanbase sometimes, as if Sterling's form is not as big an issue simply because we have depth, this is exactly why we have depth. He's our player and instead of supporting him through a bad patch we are acting like the dippers in portraying him as greedy.

just needs a scrappy goal or two, any way possible. And it'll kick on then, he is similar to Mané in that regard, can look really awful when off form.
