First time i heard 'Six Million Steps' back in 78 was whilst doing my thang on the roller rink, (still skate even now) the track actually also wouldn't be/sound out of place as an opening theme tune to any mid 70s Cop or Private Eye/P.I. tv show. Not a slight on the track itself btw, such a pleasing n memorable tune.Nice !! Six million steps was usually followed by Prance On (Eddie Henderson), Let the Music Play (Charles Earland) and Bama Boogie Woogie (Cleveland Eaton) in the discos I blagged my way in to around late summer/autumn of 1978. I appreciate that you will know but Rhythm Makers later evolved into GQ of 'Disco Nights' fame
I'd dare any Nun, Clergyman or Buddhist Monk to remain in a motionless state with Rhythm Makers groovy as fuck 'Zone' blaring out from some Matterhorn subwoofers...
lol
