I dont think thats true, the majority will just be happy with a midfielder that can pass the ball, challenge strongly where required, and inspire his teammates by giving nothing less than 100%.
1. Best at passing the ball under pressure and in small passes on the whole team
2. Does challenge for the ball when he can and it isn't dangerous
3. Gives 100% (how do you know he isn't, or how do I know he is?) he is the best on the ball and gives confidence to his team when he is on it.

He is what you want in a midfielder, from your own criteria, and other professional players and coaches say how good he is, but there are many on this forum who don't know football, they want Xhaka.

You should read this thread from beginning to end if you don't believe me, he get's criticized EVEN when he plays multiple games in a row where he is putting near MotM performances.

He hasn't been that standard though, only in the last few games has he upped his game.Prior he didnt justify his place, which frustrated many and has unfortunately cemented opinion for a few.

Since Pep has been here, he's been the most consistent player. Definitely not the last few games, years mate.

And in games when the whole team plays like shit, you'll see the first blame go to Gundogan quite often.

He isn't perfect, he makes mistakes every now and then as many players do, but he absolutely justified his place.

Consider all the rotations that Guardiola does over the years, and especially this season, the one constant? Gundogan.

I'm more than aware, but that doesn't mean Pep always called it correct.
That basically means your Pep out.

I know you didn't say that, but we are on almost 5 years of Pep and if your not on board with Gundogan then your not on board with Pep. Pep is Gundogan.

If your Pep out, that's fine, but that's how I interpret any Gundogan out comments (as Pep out).

People are starting recognise his ability because, along with his fitness,he has taken it up a notch. He is now looking something close to the player we saw in Germany, which is a very good thing.

However, lets not kid ourselves that has always been the case.
Not having the revised history version, are we? :)

Good lord! have I stumbled into the forum of some strange fanatical cult or is this still blue moon?
