Top player, a bargain, but the fact he is one of our best players this season is telling. When we got him, he was supposed to be a squad player, for depth. There were supposed to be other, bigger signings. I love Kova to bits, he is one of our most important players, but we should have even better players at our disposal if we want to compete with the best.

Kova is the only player in the current team to have the ability to control the match tempo and press-resistant. Side way passes are important part of a match. We were beaten so many times with reckless forward passing and dribbling in the last 4 weeks.Get rid.
Nope. We were beaten because of a lack of ambition. Slowly building up and eventually being countered because our line was too high. Just came back so there is grace but I think it was Kova who Rogers ran off of for the first goal.
2nd half, Gundo played further ahead leaving him exposed and he got absolutely ran through from the start of 2nd half to after their 2nd goal. Couldn't even blame him for that.

Not sure what more he could have done. He and gundo did a respectable enough job, they didn't do anything wrong they were simply overrun.
They had Kamara, onana and tielemens in midfield, mcginn was in there 90% of the time too and even Rogers went in there off the flank often. To combat it we had gundo and kovacic and Rico against at times, 5, we were always losing the midfield battle.
They vacated the left flank entirely to overload the middle, playing to their strengths and our weaknesses, we played against our own weaknesses and straight into their strengths.

Maybe it's time to face facts..
Kovacic is physically weak and slow and not a #6,
Him being in midfield or not makes literally no difference, And Morgan Rogers or any big sized player like Victor Gyorkas can now boss our midfield.
You all laughed at me when I said Gyorkas did what no one, not even Messi could do to our midfield when we played Sporting.. and then everyone took a hint and they're doing it every week.
Rodri is 6 foot 3 HUGE. He's a fucking tank.
We need tanks in midfield to control the midfield.. and this is a place over the last 2 month.. soft, weak, over the hill players have gotten exposed!
