Felt like he made a difference again when he came on today. His experience and calmness helped us see the game out.
He did, took the midfield by the scruff of the neck as it’s said and we were much the better for it.

Played really well when he came on and made a huge difference to the way we kept the ball at the end of the game. That was the main difference to the games that we dropped points in.

We're miles better with him on the pitch. Don't know what he's got to do to be a regular at the minute.

The two players that surprised me most when I saw them in person were Akanji (because he seems way bigger in person) and Kovacic because the way he slaloms through people just isn’t captured well from above. You’re sure he’s going to fall down but he surprisingly comes through the other side on his feet. He did that a few times tonight. I wish we could have a ground level camera. I not savvy enough to pick up all the intricacies of the midfield options, but Rodri seems to be more comfortable when Kovacic was there compared to our other options and that feels like a good thing. Seems freer maybe? Maybe just my perception.

Love watching him play. Aggressive, works hard but also is delicate with his passing. And always wants to go forward!

Think we’ll see a lot of him with Jonny Boulders out because he’s the perfect player alongside Rodri.

He is such a talented player who started with us like a house on fire but then lost his way a little. Let's hope that he is back to form because a midfield of Kovacic and Rodri with Foden in front is as dangerous as it gets, even in a world that includes the genius of Trent Alexander Arnold.
