Needs to be starting more often than not now to get some control into our team and to help Rodri

Perfect game for him today. Poor decision to play Alvarez over him.

He should've started. We were missing Grealish and needed that extra player who could get his foot on the ball and calm it down. Played really well when he came on, should start for us most games during this run in now.

Said at 50 or so mins Kovacic needed to come on to give extra man in midfield as Rodri was being overrun and losing 50-50s or stray passes to nobody.

Came on eventually and shored up the game and helped us retain the ball for prolonged periods rather than the chaos that happened after half time.

Hopefully De Bruyne will see it was the sensible decision.

Without Jack he can keep the ball for us. Top player.

Poor decision not to start him and waited too long to get him on. Added balance, some actual fucking bite in midfield that was badly lacking and some drive and energy. Candidate for motm in his brief display.

Surely impossible he doesn't start against arsenal, but I'd have had him as a certainty to start today so fuck knows what peps thinking.
