TBF Kova was bought as a good squad option. He has been that and fitness issues aside, I expect him to continue being so next season. He was never brought in to be our go-to every week. When you consider our other squad padding purchases (Kalvin, Gonzales and the midfield version of Nunes) Kova has been the only decent ROI. Hes the only CM that actually looks to move us forward. IMO he has been missed this season, especially with Rodri being out.We can’t lose Bernardo and keep Kova. He’s just not good enough. Needs replacing ASAP

I think he is a very good player that has played way too much as a 6 with us. Way better than Reijnders and I think we would have looked a better team earlier if he were fit this season

Criminally underrated for me, when used correctly. Never really had a chance to develop a relationship next to Rodri which is a shame

LOL I get plenty of hate from Kova's fanboys for saying exactly that!
Defensively he's just too much of a liability.
God I love watching him. Came on and within 5 minutes he’d played an identical pass to Semenyo as the one to Haaland away at Everton.
I do wish he’d be a little quicker on his toes when he picks it up closer to our goal, though. Wharton nearly got him at the end and it gave me 2024/2025 PTSD.

Has great qualities. Must have been on the pitch 15 seconds and then hit a forward defence splitting pass and we were in.

He’s contracted through 2027 already, at which point he would be 33 and Gvardiol will hopefully have extended. If he wishes to stay for 26-27, fine, but, for me, there can be no room for sentiment and the team must be allowed to evolve.Would offer him a one year extension.
