Noticed he’s not even in the matchday squad today. How long has that been happening for? Am I late to the party. Seems Pep has accepted he won’t be staying around next season. Seems to me he will be gone. Sad to see. Clearly has a lot of talent.

Made the bench once in April, once in March. He played about 200 mins of football in 2026, most of which in Carabao Cup months ago.

Was never close to our level, IMO. Defensively vulnerable and not creative offensively. Not physical, not fast. The club made the right decision to upgrade, we need a much better RB.

He's in the phantom zone. An exit this summer is essential for the lad at this point really, and to be honest given the current state of the physicality in the prem, I think it could be quite hard for Lewis to get a move.

For all his quality, I doubt any prem move is good for him in this climate anyway, should got to spain or germany.

That 90 mins was Rico in a nutshell.

1st half - the team dominates, he is involved. Decent half.

2nd half - the opposition get a foothold in the game. He has to defend. He has to run. He has to mark players. He has to work hard off the ball. He can’t do it. He is the most unfit pro footballer of his age I have seen in a long time. He can’t run. He’s 2’ 8” tall. He weighs 4 stone piss wet through. He’s no fucking good.

One of the few positives of Pep leaving is we will never have to see Rico in a meaningful match again. No other manager is going to entertain him.

This - Villa treated the first half like a testimonial and he was allowed time and space to play and looked ok. I hope it was his last cameo for the club and prospective clubs saw the first half and thought ooh we could use him. As Villa stepped it up it was the same old issues - suddenly they had players on their left with 20 or 30 yards of space as Rico jogged about.
