89 year old WW2 veteran viciously attacked by scum

Brassneck and Piston Blue, its pointless for me to argue over your views on this because you are using terms like "I believe" and "I doubt". It isnt the best base for discussion when supposedly dealing with facts, and tbh, I haven't spent all that much time gathering info on the subject of corporal punishment. But seeing how you 2 are so adamant that the last 10 or so years have been hell compared to the rest of history, and as a result of lessening corporal punishment , I'm guessing you have?

I'm just looking at the morality of the situation. I'm wondering whether you 2 are willing to completely dismiss my 2nd paragraph, in my previous post? or does it actually hold water in your eyes?

PS. I am not debating whether violence works when trying to get what you want - it obviously does , tho alot of the time with unintended consequences - but is it the only way? and more importantly, the best way?

PPS. Please dont confuse me with the liberal do-gooders. I deem Government to be illegitimate so I certainly would never use the state to force you to live how I think you should live. Just because I am an Anarchist, doesn't mean I cant have an opinion tho, right ? ;)

England has been littered with scum like this for years now. Blame the labour goverment for that one. They have fucked up the whole police system. To the point where scum like this are now untouchable. makes me laugh that loads of people on here have supported this government. Sad really but you get what you deserve as you all voted for them.

Rubbish. This is a legacy of the years that encouraged people to look after themselves only and ripped the heart out of communities.

Reap what you sow.

And I am sorry but your previous posts calling those who had been raised on council estates "skiprats" did it for me years ago. You ever lived on a Council estate? I went from living in a 4 bedroomed detached house to living on a council estate for 10 years. My neighbours then were some of the best neighbours I ever had. And my Son, who was raised there, is a great lad.

Not going to reply to this on derby Day but I will get back to you.

You can get back to me Kev, Derby Day or not.

You quite clearly label all people depending on their "social status."

That to me is ridiculous. Sorry if you don't agree.

Eye for a eye, dish out the same punishment that these scum inflict on others. They stab someone then stab the scum back, they shoot someone, send them to the firing squad.
Maybe doing this will teach the little shits about respect. They dont want to get hurt then they shouldnt start on others.
Personally, i'd play games with these scum SAW style, and the person who wins gets shot anyway.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you in the forces, kevinmcfc? Hardly best placed to pontificate about the state of society, I'd say.

Sad news but it's funny how some on here say it's truly awful but wish death on Margaret Thatcher who is an elderly woman.

I have certainly never said that.

Names?

Thatcher was an evil twisted bitch who has caused more pain and suffering to the working class than ringworm/rickets/TB/ and typhoid combined. I'll happily dance on the bitches grave when she dies.

This problem has many causes and no quick answer.

The causes may include:

The frequency of marriage break-ups (children being raised by step-parents)

Working mothers-putting status symbols before family, who are too often raised by old folk.

Television, which most of us spend too much time on, leaving the pubs and streets to uncontrolled youngsters.

Financial controls on police services meaning too few police on the beat: the short-fall being caused by Tory reductions of top rates of tax, which have never been reinstated. Because of this, officers will often turn away when outnumbered or arrest an easy target such as a middle aged man who was defending himself.

Malnutrition, causing behavioural changes. This due to crap 'food' being made and sold purely for profit, regardless of results.

Drugs.

Weakness in government because ambition wins over principal and appearance counts for more than results.

This list is 'off the top of my head' and is not claimed to be exhaustive, but it took generations of materialism to get us in this fix and will be slow to correct. it needs a complete change of culture.

Guv, just wondering why someone in the Forces can't comment on the state of society?

Because they are outside of it?

Because I'm not in the forces, I'm definitely not in a position to comment with accuracy on army/airforce/navy barracks or general living conditions. "Leave" doesn't give you anything like enough insight.

As usual it's everybody elses fault and not our own, it's our society, we're all responsible or we can just sit on our arses creating facebook groups calling for the death penalty and blame everyone from the govt to black people to gays, it wont change a thing.

Look in the mirror.

Who's responsible?

You fucking are.

Love is all.

You'r right it's our society, so collectively we can be blamed, but on an individual level I can't agree.

It's like saying that I was responsible for the closing down of British industy, even though I, together with 58% of Britons, didn't vote Tory.

this.

Labour are also the type of party who will let this kind of scumbag off the hook with not even a slapped wrist let alone a prison sentence.

Ferguson supports Labour by the way.

Any decent blue should see that a party which rewards laziness and doesn't properly punish crime is NOT one to vote for.

Forget your 'class warrior' mentality, because Britain has changed. Don't align yourself with the likes of Prescott and Ferguson.

You're right but as people we have much more power than we think, we just need to organise then rise.

I vote Tory, I always have done because I believe in small governments not nanny state, i work for my living not sponge off the state and i believe in a proper legal system that punishes offenders. - only my opinion - couldn't care less if anyone else on this forum agrees as long as at the next election enough people do to rid us of the complete tosser in charge at the moment

You've put 'Loafing as usual' as your 'Location'.

So you have a poor grasp of English language and you are a self-confessed lazy bastard, probably on benefits.

You sound like the typical Labour voter....

Sorry mate, but having spent 20 years of my life in the RAF, I can reliably inform you that your post is complete & utter bollox :-)

We do not live isolated from society, we are very much a part of it. Families may live in housing quarters (although there's an increasing number who don't as the standard of them is fucking shite), but apart from that we are part of society in exactly the same way that you are.
