your 150/1 bet is a bit optimistic, eheh
I started screwing around with a 0-0 bet to hedge my first half win bet, and lifted that at around 55 minutes after I backed City at half-time to win the game. My 0-0 covered my first half loss, and I made about 1.5 times my stake with my straight win. It's usually these sorts of unexciting things that make your returns, rather than the hail Mary bets that people seem to be so fond of.
Reminds me of an observation by a friend of mine (a double-time world champion in his field and expert analyst and writer) on how most humans either try to make the big plays and solve all their problems in one go, or do the exact opposite and try to do too little while procrastinating (with very little risk) instead of finding some sort of middle ground solution which is often the most optimal; a modicum of risk to solve a reasonable amount of your problems first time around, and to clear up what's left a little later on at a second attempt.
