what ever happend to free speech fredom of thought? people will kill themselves in acts of terror for what ever god they believe in as to sorry for goin off the topic in a sense that religion is a mind control on how they get these people to carry out these acts.

I'm all for people having their own views on things but this lecturer sounds like a complete jerk.
EVERYTHING points to 9/11 being the terrible act of some very misguided extremists.
Of course it only takes one bright spark to say "of course America might have ochestrated 9/11 themselves......................." and you get all sorts jumping on the bandwagon with their conspiracy theories.

Seen a few programmes showing both sides and accept why the towers came down as they did, and why it looked like there were explosions beneath the collapse.
But there was another building that came down like a demolition that hadnt been damaged and i have yet to hear an explanation for it.
People look for conspiracies in all these sorts of things and that won't go away. It was a terrorist act of that i'm sure but can see where these theories start.

Many people find it far too scary that a group of blokes from the Middle East could concoct such a scheme, implement it and suceed so spectacularly in their aims. It's far more palatable, and less frightening, for them t say "It couldn't just be your average bloke on the street, it must be some huge government conspiracy, a one off that will never happen again. Lets just say, for arguments sake, they could prove that it wasn't a plane that hit the Pentagon, or atleast not the commercial plane. Why do they need to answer where the commercial plane, and passengers, went?

Taking the question "can you tell me why a plane crashing into a building will cause such a small hole and no noticable damage to the surrounding areas?" I'll say no, based on the fact I don't know enough about structural engineering or plane crash investigation. However, lets just say, for arguments sake, that the reason there was no surrounding damage, and the hole was so small, is because the damage wasn't caused by a plane, but a bomb, or a missile. This still leaves the question "Where did the plane that officially crashed into the Pentagon go if it didn't, in fact, crash into the Pentagon?" Can you answer that?
Lets just say, for arguments sake, they could prove that it wasn't a plane that hit the Pentagon, or atleast not the commercial plane. Why do they need to answer where the commercial plane, and passengers, went?

IF they could prove it then they wouldn't have to answer the question. By proving it they'd have also proved that the passengers didn't die by hitting the Pentagon. However they HAVEN'T proved it. Conspiracists claim they have evidence, that they deem conclusive, to state the plane didn't hit the Pentagon. They don't. If they did then they'd be asking about the real whereabouts of the plane. What they have are a selection of blurry, inconclusive pictures showing nothing much of any worth. Maybe there was a moon landing, maybe there wasn't. I wasn't alive to experience it at the time, and the only coverage is an extremely grainy camera of people bouncing about in spacesuits. It would be possible to fake it, as people couldn't see it happen with their own eyes, and the quality of recording devices was pretty poor. Whether it was faked however I'm not sure, I can see why they would fake it (space race with the USSR, communism etc) and by faking it no-one was hurt. Personally, although I accept the government does lie to the people, and would have no qualms about lying in this instance, I don't think they did. IF it was a government conspiracy then the USA would have kept it as quiet as possible, it's entirely possible Bush wouldn't have known about it, let alone Blair. Of course this is all conjecture as it clearly wasn't a conspiracy.
