The velocity on that penalty was something else.
Some idiots said he would only be the difference between four nil and five nil, not actually make the difference in games we weren't going to win... already he's been THE difference in plenty of matches and this is another.
Insane that he's actually doing better for us than he has for his previous clubs. I guess it's that service.Haaland's record since the beginning of the 2019/20 season
2019-20 (Salzburg/Dortmund): 40 games, 44 goals, 10 assists
2020-21 (Dortmund): 41 games, 41 goals, 12 assists
2021-22 (Dortmund): 30 games, 29 goals, 8 assists
2022-23 (City): 15 games, 22 goals, 3 assists
2019-22 (Norway): 23 games, 21 goals, 3 assists
Total: 149 games, 157 goals, 36 assists
1.3 goal involvements per game for four years and he's 22.
FREAK OF NATURE.
Thats cos it was in the net before he had a chance to move.Brilliant penalty yesterday. Sanchez had no idea what to do. Didn't even attempt to dive, just flopped to his side.
Are you joking?
He's an absolutely incredible athlete and fantastic at putting the ball in the back of the net but in terms of 'pure footballing ability,' there are so, so many names you could rattle off before him.
Reminds me of Tevez.I like his pens , no stupid , show off run up , just a couple of steps then bang that fucker in

I agree, it's not only his finishing but the technique and power he gets in his shots, penalties and headers that are something i can't remember seeing before.agreed...
Technically he could be better and will probably get better with his first touch, passing etc but he aint ever going to be a David Silva for instance but then thats no surprise.
His movement, finishing however are up there with the very best and its not all about his obvious physicality. His movement in the 6 yd area is phenominal and that is footballing brains not physicality.
How would you describe the knack he has of scoring the amount of goals he does if it isn't "pure footballing ability"? Isn't it an old saying that the hardest thing to do in football is actually scoring goals? To me, that makes what he does an ability/skill/talent. I'm not sure anyone at the club, or in the stands, is looking for him to dribble past 4 players, and then square it across for a Foden/Grealish/Mahrez tap in.Are you joking?

Tevez and Sergio weren't great takers. Mario and Yaya were.Never felt massively confident when Tevez stepped up for some reason. Same with Sergio.
Only really Yaya and Balotelli I've been certain they'll score. If Haaland's technique is what it was on Saturday - short run up and batter the fucker as hard as he can, and accurately too - then he'll score every one!

Nah. Green doesn’t look good on me. Mind you, not much does. You are Brian Clough and I claim my £5.
