What has the agent actually said ? He is going nowhere any time soon
I don't have exact quotes.

I believe she stated many have players dreamed (and still dream) of going to Madrid. Additionally, for the first time in years, players now dream of playing in England.

No mention of Haaland.

He's not going to learn that. That's simply going to be a deficiency in his game. And he'd have to make it up with , size, strength, speed and anticipation.
Yeah he's never going to be a Kane. He may master dropping short and picking and choosing the right time to do it but he's not got the technique in tight spaces that Kane has and that can't be taught.

Watch how Haaland receives the ball from a throw in or any bouncing ball. His instinct is to control everything with feet no matter how high that means them going. If you watch Kane receive similar balls, he'll control it with his midriff with his arse stuck in to the defender so he can't get around him to nick it. It's a huge difference in technique taught at an earlier age than 22.

They are different players. Kane now is the most perfect striker profile you could ever find for this City. But he wasn't doing it at 22, nor was he hitting the numbers Haaland did at Dortmund for Spurs. If we can tweak certain areas of his game and make his movement more efficient to our style, and if he sticks around long enough, Haaland will be unstoppable IMO.

Great post.

Something that's pretty clear to me now. I've been noticing it more and more.
He obviously has ferocious acceleration. Over ten yards or so, he kind of reminds me of Johah Lomu. A locomotive. He is also virtually impossible to knock off the ball.
But, sorry, he's not very clever with his feet. He gets away with not having a particularly good first touch, especially, because he can accelerate and get to the ball before his marker despite it (not because of it). Sergio had clearly a subtler touch, and his control was just generally better.
Not saying one is better than the other overall, and I'm sure he's a monster who'll score a lot of goals for us. But in pure footballing terms, I actually enjoyed watching prime Aguero more.
Can we not enjoy both

I know it sounds crazy but I'd like to try him as a wide forward so he can run at the defence sometimes.

So I'd like to see the front 3 swap positions throught a game. For example a lineup like this in the next cup game ...

...............Ortega............
Lewis Dias Laporte Ake
...KDB Rodri Bernardo...
Haaland Grealish Foden
With Alvarez maybe

———————Ederson
Walker—Stones—Dias—Ake
——KDB—Rodri—Grealish
Haaland—Alvarez—Foden

I remember getting absolutely battered in the Kane thread in 2021 for being desperate for him. Was wounded when it didn’t happen, he’d be absolutely perfect for us.

But at the same time I said if it was a toss us between him and Haaland, I’d have the latter every day of the week. Just something about having an out and out goalscorer at the top of a creative machine.

kane would be brilliant for city imo as well,

if youre talking about messi type ball control ,no that cant be taught , he was born with a gift , however if you think ball control cant be taught after 22 then you are way off the mark, what do you think rondos/dribbling in and out of cones ect ect ect are for, every player that pep has coached will have better ball control without fail even the goal keepers, there's no doubting erling needs to improve his ball control , but to say he will never be able to improve because it needs to be taught at an early age is quite funny.

When you're 50 ,i could teach you to improve your ball control , by the time you were 52 you would be 100 times better at it, kane uses his body well to control the ball,he backs in arse out ,are you saying erling cant be taught that,

ill leave this with you , and imo he will get better and better
