9 | Erling Haaland - 2023/24

Will be more concerned if he hasnt regained his chance conversion once we go up against the likes of Arsenal or Liverpool, in those games we won't get as many chances so needs to find his shooting boots

Has been so wasteful lately despite his goals ratio at the moment

But you'd expect him to start converting more than he's missing, if he does that, the way we are playing he should break his record from last year (injuries permitting)
We’ll get plenty of chances against Liverpool, their defence is poor, however whether we take those chances is another matter.

Look, it seems downright stupid to express a worry about a player who is the league's leading goalscorer, clear of the pack by three goals (and no Kane to chase him any more). But you can't help feeling that he is getting chances that he would have been simply gobbling up like an ogre gobbling up children last season.
But the most important thing, by far, is that he is getting those chances. In other words, his instinct for where to be is in no way impaired. You could argue that he is actually getting into clear goalscoring positions more than he was a year ago, and that's why it's so noticeable when he doesn't put them away. It's also worth pointing that in the last two games, especially, the keeper has at moments in the game played a blinder in stopping him from scoring. I seem to remember that Fulham's keeper wasn't too bad, either. That goal that he bloody nearly scored against the Hammers would have been comparable to the Dortmund one, if Areola hadn't parried it so brilliantly.
There is no major problem. It'll click. He must stay hungry, and angry.

He's consecutively up against two keepers in some mission to not let his shot in. That Glazer chap was tremendous but somehow makes a mistake as long as it's not Haaland shooting.

Haaland's fine. I'd be more concerned if he's not getting shots at all.

So just to be clear, 7 games, 7 goals and 2 assists, and we are even debating that's he's having a rough patch?

Those chances he's missing wouldn't even be chances for 95% of strikers as they wouldn't have the intelligence to even be in that position

Scored in all 3 away league games, and a hatrick in a home game. He could have 15 league goals by now and that's being prudent

I think he might be fine, but I've got previous for getting things wrong quite often!

To be fair their keeper made a few ridiculous saves last night. He's getting in the right places and the more he does that the more he'll score. He's always going to be marked out the game but he's still getting the best of defenders.

Have to remember he's still the PL top scorer and we're talking of him going through a bad spell..

It's amazing how Haaland makes our False 9 system work.

When he's not scoring 5 goals a game.. he's the perfect decoy.

Pep's perfect false 9 dragging defenders out of position so that goals can come from all over!

Really poor at the moment, probably still score 40 goals this season ha
