I understand, but during the second half, it was like playing with ten men. Sometimes, I wish Pep would bring someone in with fresh legs to help us see out games and press more from the front.

The rest of the team should be more than capable of pressing, Haaland is the danger man who can kill a game at any instant. When he comes off we are almost always totally toothless.

I'd rather play with 10 when the missing man is the striker who can nab a goal out of nowhere. When it's a midfielder or someone playing a little further forward who helps progress the ball, then it's an issue.

Mate that's what Pep did when he took off Marmoush who was strolling around as much as Haaland albeit the sub was a bit late, we saw the game out very well when we brought on Foden and Bernie, you don't take off Haaland at that stage, have you forgotten how utterly toothless we were without him just the last week ? it's up to the rest of boys to compensate for Haaland not pressing because no one knows what a goal is if he's not playing.

Held it up like an absolute tart, his body language is a joke as well. He’d have got a fuck off tablet if i was Nunes.

Didn't look properly fit at all, was certain movements he was completely unwilling to make but even then he scores what should have been 2 goals to win us the game. Give him a rest this weekend and let him properly recover.

Then if Spurs had equalised we'd have had next to no chance of getting back in front.

We should know by now that Haaland looks and plays very differently when he's playing with an injury, seemed pretty clear that he was in that category last night. Still got us the matchwinning goal so I think it's astounding that people still want to complain about his body language or workrate when he should probably not be playing at all.

Thought he was good in the 1st half. Should've buried more than one, but couple of chances came from him dropping deep and playing the wingers in.

Energy levels completely dropped in the 2nd half.

He is 7 goals short of breaking into second place behind arguably the best player ever for most goals scored under Pep Guardiola

He needs to score 6 more goals this season in order to overtake Aguero's best season for the third time in a row. ( in 2016/17 season 33 goals)

He is already an absolute City's legend.

does anyone else think he tends to check in and out of games mentally? I don't mind reserving energy and i dont care how many touches he gets or even how hard he presses but it does seem like he selects when to apply himself

Do feel like he really needs to start using his physical presence more. You can see it sometimes when he goes up for a header, he kind of "half jumps" and doesn't really believe he's going to get there when if he genuinely went for the ball 9/10 he'd probably win it cos he's massive and strong.
Needs to start making near post runs as well and not just waiting for it in the box.
