Where was the creativity supposed to come from? Bernardo? Nunes? Gundo? Phil's season isn't gonna suddenly come alive at Anfield.

When Erling is our one and only goal threat on the pitch Van Dijk will deal with that in his sleep.

Scoring under is xg this season, scored 4 under his xg last season.

It's not impossible a more all-round striker could score just as many goals based on the chances we're capable of creating for them.

The fact he can't seem to be dropped seems one of the major weaknesses in the squad.

a backup striker is definitely on my priority list in january, both to rest him but because his form merits dropping. you can't blame it all on deliveries anymore. Doku has had some deliveries to really nice areas today that any striker could only dream for and he was nowhere near, and a lot of it was down to poor positioning and just plainly not making enough of an effort in the box.
